G-Effect comes from the Adekeye royal line of Joga orile Yewa North in Ogun state, Nigeria, and his full name is Adekeye Gbemileke Samuel.
He began his musical career as a drummer and chorister at C.A.C Agbala itura oke Odo Lagos and then switched to playing the saxophone in RCCG King’s Court Parish Ikeja, LP60.
His education began at Zion African Church School alaagba Agege, Ope Olu Day Nursery, and Dopemu Primary School.
He received his secondary education at Oniwaya High School Agege before going on to get N.C.E in music at Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, O.N.D in Mass Communication at Wolex Polytechnic, and B.A Ed in Music at Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti.
He presently teaches music at Chrisland School in Ladipo Oluwole, Ikeja, Lagos.
