LYRICS – I’M NOT GIVING UP

Intro.

When I heard the story of Leah,
The girl who was adopted by the deadly terrorist group Boko Haram,
I was like… what!
This girl is stronger than many people in The church, who just dressed up to the brim and sing I love you Lord.
She reminds me of great soldiers in the Lord’s Army.
To me, there is no greater message than this.

It’s so hard
to live in holiness
but some people did it before
I’m not giving up.

It’s so hard
to die for righteousness
but some people did it before
I’m not giving up

I’ve been opposed so many times before
For no reason at all but because I love Christ
I’ve been fought
so many times before
For no reason at all but because I follow Christ

I’ve made up my mind.
I’ve made up my mind
No matter what it takes I’m not giving up

To live is Christ
and to die is gain
The sorrows of today is nothing compared to the joy to come
I’m telling you,
I’m not giving up.
I’m telling you,
I’m not giving up.

In this world
There will be trials and troubles
But I will cheer up and rejoice
Cause my Jesus conquered it all
In this world
There will be trials and troubles
But I will cheer up and rejoice
Cause my Jesus conquered it all

I’ve made up my mind.
I’ve made up my mind
No matter what it takes I’m not giving up

To live is Christ
and to die is gain
The sorrows of today is nothing compared to the joy to come
I’m telling you, I’m not giving up.

To ba se tori oro Jesu laye se komi
To ba se tori oro Jesu laye se komi
Inu e ma bimi
lona igbala ti mo wa.
Inu e ma bimi o

To ba se tori oro Jesu laye se komi
To ba se tori or Jesu lore se komi
Inu e ma bimi
lona igbala ti mo wa.
Inu e ma bimi o

To live is Christ
and to die is gain
The sorrows of today is nothing compared to the joy to come
I’m telling you, I’m not giving up.

I’m telling you, I’m not giving up.

I’m telling you, I’m not giving up.

I’m telling you, I’m not giving up.

ABOUT THE SONG:
It is a good feeling when God shows up just in time, but the best feeling is when you realize he has never left you!
This song is to encourage anyone who is going through tough time, just to remind what God says in Jeremiah 29;11 that for I know the thought I have toward you, thought of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end. God will surprise you.

LYRICS: Mungu Ni Pendo – Beatrice Sosipeter
Mungu atakushangaza hata wewe atakukumbuka, utainuka tena Mungu hana upeneleo
God will remember you and you will be surprised
(You will raise again for God shows no favoritism)
Anachofanya kwa wengine, atafanya kwako pia
(What He has done for others, He will do for you)
(Usilie futs machozi anza tena)
Don’t cry, wipe your tears and start again
Nayajua mawazo yangu ninayokuwazia, ni mawazo ya amani, wala si maovu
(For I know the thoughts I think towards you, thoughts of peace and not of evil)
Nitkuweka juu, uushangaze ulimwengu
(I will set you on high, the world will be surprised)
Mimi ni Bwana, neno langu halitapita
(I am the Lord, my word shall not pass away)
Verse 2:
Nwana anasema kwamba msiogope, mimi nimetoa kutoka shimoni
(The Lord says do not fear, I have taken you out of the pit)
Mimi nimewaita kwa majina wewe ni wangu
(I have called you by name , you are mine)
Mimi ni Bwana, neno langu halitapi
(I am your Lord, my word shall not pass away)
God forgets no one
He is Compassionate and Merciful
He will do for you what He did for others
There is no reason to fear
They’re not a friend like Jesus
He knows all our troubles
He will guide till the day is done
No one else can heal our soul’s disease
Put all your trust in Him – Jesus.

WHAT SHALL I GIVE TO YOU LORD BY IJEOMA OZOEMENA | TWITTER: @OZOEMENAIJEOMA | INSTAGRAM: @IJEOMA1278

Nigeria Gospel music minister, Ijeoma Ozoemena’s long awaited debut single “What Shall I Give To You Lord” is out now. The thanksgiving single geared towards inspiring gratitude and giving of thanks was produced by multi-award winning producer, Sunny Pee.

In her words: “The song was birthed out of the church choir quest for the annual thanksgiving song to minister in the church. Out of anxiety (as the Choir/Music Director) I asked God (after one of the choir rehearsals) for a thanksgiving song. Then, God gave me this song on a Saturday morning (final choir rehearsal day: same week I did ask Him for a song to sing) and we’re to minister it the following day being on Sunday. I then taught the song, we rehearsed it together and then ministered it on Sunday in church.
